Meet Strongsville OH Dentist Office Staff

Front Desk

Monica was born and raised in Strongsville and graduated from SHS in 1982. Her parents moved to Strongsville after emigrating from Germany and she still lives on the same street that she grew up on. Family means the world to Monica. Her husband, Pat, works construction, and they have been married since 1987. She is extremely proud of her 3 children, Mike, a finance manager, Rick, who works construction with his father, and Jessica, an occupational therapist. Outside of work, she and her family enjoy spending time together outdoors, hiking, canoeing, and camping, and RVing. She also has a love for animals and enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Kierra and Cocoa.

Monica has worked in dentistry for a total of 28 years. Her dental career began as a chairside dental assistant, and she later transitioned to the front-desk where she skillfully manages patient scheduling and coordination of patient benefits. She says, “I enjoy the relationships I develop with our patients and work hard to navigate the everyday challenges of their insurance, trying to get the most of their benefits. Our goal as a team is not only to educate out patients and provide a comfortable environment for them, but we are committed to making their smile our top priority.”

Jamie is a native Clevelander. She graduated from South High School in 1979, then went on to complete her dental hygiene degree at Cuyahoga Community College, where she finished first in her class. She married her husband, Randy, in 1984, and they have two daughters, Robin and Megan. Both girls were Strongsville High School state champions in soccer. Robin went on to play soccer at Marshall University and is currently finishing her masters in nursing anesthesia. Megan also played division I soccer at the University of Akron and is now nearing completion of her doctor of physical therapy. Outside of work, Jamie loves family events and vacations, gardening, reading, and hiking. She is also a cat lover and has 6 kitties at home.

Jamie began her career as a dental assistant while she was in dental hygiene school. After receiving her dental hygiene degree, she began working at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, where she specialized in the care of patients with head and neck cancer. She has 37 years of experience taking care of patients who have had head and neck surgeries and patients currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She is devoted to her patients and consistently provides excellent preventive care. Outside of the operatory, she is a past-president of the Cleveland Dental Hygienists’ Association, and has lectured for the Cleveland Dental Society, Cuyahoga Community College, and Lorain Community College. Jamie has been a hygienist for many of our current patients for almost 30 years, and has remained a valuable part of the team since Dr. Butler took over the practice in 2019.
